Happy 12-12-12 @12:12. This is a special post, that will not take the place of one of my regular posts, I promise.
“Why is this…thing, important Jorge?”, you might be asking right about now. Well, if all goes right, people won’t be able to bring up the fact that the date is made up of the same number again for at least 89 years. That’s longer than I’ll live, hopefully. So this is a time to celebrate. Also, it might 9 days before the end of the world, if that’s still a thing. Considering I can post anything I want here because, The Daily Jorge, I want to steal a few words from a Facebook status I wrote a while ago about Dec. 21st of this year. It reads as follows:
“Today I got the chance to hang with my good friend Erik. As we talked about stuff, we came across the realization that today is Nov. 21st. Exactly a month before the supposed End of the World. He asked me, ‘What if it’s true? What would you do?’
I responded, ‘If it’s true, then I’m glad I got to know you for at least part of these last [insert number seemingly appropriate] years. We can’t live worrying about what might happen. We have to live focused on what we have now.’ In
part, I feel like this was good advice beyond this context.“
So, enjoy your day, remember it’s special, but it’s always special. You get to chose how special it is to you…. Okay that was really corny. Peace!…
